Maya Day - 18th March 2021
As part of our topic about the Ancient Maya in the Spring Term, we had a Maya Day including lots of exciting activities! Among other things, we tasted Maya food, tried out an ancient ball game, made Maya calendars and met a Maya Archaeologist over Zoom for a Question and Answer session.
Take a look at the gallery to see some photos from the day:
Our Place in Space
Our topic for the Summer Term is 'Our Place in Space'.
We will be learning about Space in science and through our reading and writing, and also thinking about our own place in the world through our topic work on the Census and local history.
The overview of weekly spellings can be found below. Children will be tested on Mondays.
CLIC sessions take place 3 times a week in Year 5. Please see below for our focus Learn-Its. These are skills which we practise regularly within CLIC sessions. You could practise these at home with your child and test them - see how fast they can recall each fact.
